New Berlin Athletic Association

Dear NBAA Families,

We want to inform you that beginning with the upcoming, fall soccer season, the City of New Berlin Recreation Department will be running the youth recreation sports programs (Soccer, Basketball, Baseball and Softball) that we have been provided the community of New Berlin for over 65 years.

While not an NBAA decision, we are, however, working with the Recreation Department to help ensure a smooth transition. (In fact, you still might see uniforms referencing "NBAA" or other correspondence referencing us. This is simply to help with the transition. Realize, however, that effective on or about August 1, 2024, all these programs are being facilitated by the City.)

The NBAA is a legal entity and is not "going away". Going forward, we will exist, but just in a different form. We will not, however, be offering Soccer, Basketball, Baseball or Softball.

We would like to thank everyone for entrusting your children with us, and for your support over the past 65 years. It has been a pleasure serving you during that time.

Sincerely,

The NBAA Board of Directors

Coaches:
Remember that once the parents drop their kids off at practice, you are responsible for their safety and well being. It is necessary for a responsible adult to stay and supervise the kids until they are all picked up. Failure to do so puts you and the NBAA at a significant liability if something were to happen to one of these kids. Beyond the liability issue how would you feel if something happened to one of the kids that your were responsible for or if you were on the other end and something happened to your child.
Parents:
Just a reminder that the coaches are giving up a great deal of their time to coach your children. Please make sure that you are there to pick up your kids at least 10 minutes before the end of practice. When practice is done, the coaches many times need to get somewhere else or simply want to get home and relax. Please show the coaches the curtesy of being on time (or early) in picking your children up.
